School can be a big scary place, but it can also be fun and exciting. It will be crowded, noisey, and huge. You will get to learn new things, go on field trips, play outside, and go the the library for story time. You will have a new teacher this year so be nice, listen, and don't get into trouble. Your teacher is there to help you with any problems you are having. If someone starts bullying you tell a teacher. Friends are always nice to have around. You make and loose new friends daily, so don't get upset. Be friendly and say hi. Tell them your name and ask them their name. Be patient about meeting new friends. It takes time to get to know people. Learn who you can trust and who you can not. Don't worry about losing friends there are always more were that one came from. Being in Kindergarden can be overwhelming at first. Just remember you teacher is your friend. If you ever get scared and start to cry think about how much your mommy and daddy love you. The relationships you start today can last into the future. What you learn this year will be used in the future. Take school one day at a time. Do your best and everything will fall into place. Don't forger to have fun because the serious years don't start until your in high school. If you treat your friends and teacher with respect you'll get respect in return.

Don't you wish you could go back to kindergarten and do everything over again? I never listened to good advice when I was a kid. The stuff that would have been really useful to know was over my head, anyway. Only now, at age 20, do I feel I know enough to redo my childhood properly.

Ah, but that's not how it works, is it? You live, and you learn. And you don't waste time thinking about what it would be like if you could do it in the opposite order, because you can't.
